Years ago, the Sydney Alliance ran its flagship training under the grand name of "Alliance Building Institutes." While we eventually swapped the title for something more straightforward, "Foundations of Community Organising," the original name held a deeper truth: our trainings are more than just information. One of Spokane Alliance's highlights in October 2025 was getting a commitment from the mayor for $100,000 public contribution to the community justice fund for undocumented families. Cherry on top is that the money is coming from the police budget, with the support of the police chief.
