Today, the dedicated leaders of the Metropolitan Alliance for the Common Good (MACG) in Portland, OR, came together in a powerful demonstration of commitment and solidarity. The board, strategy team, and team co-chairs gathered to reaffirm their dedication to building and securing MACG for the long term. Both new leaders and those who were there from MACG’s founding shared personal reflections on what the organization means to them. They spoke of the impact MACG has had on their lives and their communities, emphasizing how much they appreciate the hard work of every leader and, in particular, the unwavering dedication of their organizer, Sarah Strausbaugh. Their words were a testament to the strength and resilience of this coalition, built through years of grassroots organizing and collective action.

This plan also laid the foundation for an ongoing, structured approach to fundraising that will sustain the organization in the years to come.
