Sound Alliance Stands with Seattle Shield Initiative

Faith, Labor, and Non-Profits join to support the Seattle Shield Initiative

On Tuesday, October 28th 2025, the Sound Alliance and allies assembled in support of the Seattle Shield Initiative (Prop 2). Sound Alliance is a coalition of faith congregations, labor unions, and community-based non-profits, together adding their voice in support of the Seattle Shield Initiative.

The Seattle Shield will protect Seattle priorities threatened by federal cuts, including funding to address housing, hunger, public health, and gender-based violence while reducing the financial burden of the B&O Tax for small businesses, including eliminating the B&O tax for over 75% of businesses in Seattle. We stand united with faith, labor, and community voices in pursuit of a world, a Seattle, and a Puget Sound as it could be.
