The Australian Federal election is upon us, and with it comes a critical opportunity to shape Australia’s future—especially when it comes to housing, energy, and climate policy. This is our moment to put real stories at the centre of political negotiations, strengthen our movement, and hold decision-makers accountable.
Thursday, March 13th
5:40 pm – 7:40 pm
Morley Centre, 2 Darcy Rd, Westmead (8-minute walk from Westmead Station)
That’s why Sydney Alliance is calling on leaders to join us for our Federal Pre-Election Assembly—a night where our communities will come together, stand in solidarity, and demand action from those in power.
Why This Assembly Matters
Two years ago, our State Election Assembly at Westmead made waves—helping shift rental reform and increasing state investment in social housing. Now, we’re taking that same power to the Federal level.
We know that when everyday people unite, we change the conversation.

At this Assembly, we will:
Amplify the voices of our communities through powerful, real-life stories.
Negotiate with key decision-makers to demand policies that deliver dignified homes, resourced communities, and liveable cities.
Hold politicians accountable to their promises and make it clear that
Sydney’s civil society will not be ignored.
Who’s Coming?
the Hon Chris Bowen MP (Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy)
the Hon Jenny McAllister (Federal Minister for Cities and Emergency Management)
Ms Zali Steggall OAM, MP (Federal Member for Warringah)
Ms Mehreen Faruqi (Federal Senator for New South Wales)
1000+ Sydneysiders from faith groups, unions, community organisations, and local campaigns
This is YOUR chance to make an impact.
Sydney Alliance is powered by everyday people who step up, speak out, and build the future together. The energy at our last Assembly was electric—let’s make this one even bigger.
